Makeup Revolution Concealer Review

I have, and probably always will, struggle with dark circles. My mom has them, her dad had them, and it probably goes back a ways. Some under eye creams help a bit, other’s not so much, so I rely on a good concealer to help me hide them.

I’ve tried many concealers and,I have a few favorites, like the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind or the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer and, some misses, like the Maybelline FitMe Concealers. I don’t typically go for light coverage when it comes to concealers because the dark circles will just peak through. I also use concealer to hide blemishes and to brighten under the eyes (after concealing), so I typically carry two shades of one concealer at a time.

The reason for my backstory here, is because I want to illustrate why I use concealer and in turn, what I look for in a concealer.

I bought two shades of the Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Full Coverage Concealer; C8 and C9. C8 is for light to medium skin tones with golden undertones, while C9 has peachy undertones. I typically go in with the peachy undertone concealer first to help counter any darkness, and then with the lighter one to brighten.

I’ve been using this concealer for about 3 weeks now and I really like it. It has a really nice consistency; it’s very similar to the Tarte Shape Tape but not as thick. It has a doe foot applicator which I also really like, because it makes applying it easier. I would say this concealer is medium to full coverage, where you can easily build it up to be full coverage quite easily. It blends really well and it works well with the Makeup Revolution Foundation as well as the Hourglass Vanish Stick Foundation.

One of the things I noticed that I did not like, was that it did crease and break apart easily when I used it with the Makeup Revolution Foundation; though this can happen sometimes with any concealer/foundation combination. Unfortunately they may not always be friends or get along *insert shrug emoji here*. The second thing that bothered me was that it has a very strong chemical scent to it. It doesn’t linger, and you don’t smell it after you’ve applied it; you only really notice it if you sniff it after opening the tube.

Using the concealer(s) here!

I’ve worn it all day for work and when I set it properly it lasts very well and all day. When I used it with just my tinted moisturizer or the Hourglass foundation I noticed very little creasing which made me very happy, especially since I’ve been a crease machine these days.

Overall for $7 USD I would definitely recommend this concealer. You can get it at Ulta beauty by clicking here or by visiting their website here.

Until next post belles!♥♥♥
