Makeup Revolution: Foundation Review

Hello beauties! Today’s post will be a first impression/review of the Makeup Revolution Fast Base Stick Foundation. I bought the foundation in two different shades– F11 and F8. Lately, when I use foundation, I find myself reaching for stick foundations. They’re quick, easy and less messy to apply. This foundation is super inexpensive and highly praised; so I absolutely needed to try it! Keep reading for my initial thought of it and more!

So I ordered two shades just in case, and as it turns out they actually work really well mixed together for me LOL; that was very lucky I have to say. When I’m a little more tan I should be able to get away with F11 all on it’s own. Honestly, they have such a great range that I’m sure I can find the right shade for my skin tone if I really put some effort to it.

First day, right after application.

When I used it, I primed my face as usual with my Summer Fridays’ Jet Lag Mask. I let my skin soak that in and then I swiped both shades on to my face. Right away I noticed how easy it went on my skin; I mean it was insanely smooth and creamy. Then, I used my damp beauty sponge to blend it all out. The foundation is medium to full coverage– using a light hand for medium coverage, and using a heavier hand for full coverage. It didn’t really have a scent to it, which is a good thing for me, I’m not typically a fan of makeup that has strong fragrances. Once I finished applying the foundation, I applied the rest of my makeup as I usually do. Typically, I don’t truly bake but I do set my makeup with powder and setting spray.

For some reason, my arm was darker in every picture! It matched closer to the first color in person.

I wore this foundation for about 6 hours on the first day and 8+ on the second day, and it didn’t look bad! I was happy to see that it didn’t break apart or rub off, but there was crazy creasing in my smile line areas and under my eyes. I think I will try this foundation with a pore filling primer rather than the jet lag mask and actually bake to see if this helps with the creasing issue I had.

Super up close and unflattering picture but you can see the creasing under my eye and around my smile area. (Second day of use)

From a far, you can’t really see all the creasing– maybe more under my left (your right) eye. (Second day of use)

Regardless of the creasing, I still enjoy using this foundation and for the price I would recommend it to those who don’t want to shell out money for the Hourglass Vanish Stick foundation or the Make Up For Ever stick foundation. Remember it’s only $9!

That’s all for now beautiful people! Until next post! ♥♥♥
