2017 Skincare Faves!

Hello beauties! As promised in this post I will be writing about my 2017 skincare faves. In 2017, my skin broke out so badly and nothing would get rid of the acne. I’m used to using a lot of products but I cut down to help my skin breathe. Keep reading to find out what I used throughout the year.

The one thing that I use every night is my Curology custom acne cream. I wrote about it in an earlier post so I won’t go into too much detail. This stuff has helped reduce my breakouts and helped speed up the healing of the acne scars. To get more details on my post click here or the above link to go to their site.

Along with my Curology regiment I also use an under eye cream. My favorite so far is the Caudalie Resveratrol Lift Eye Lifting Balm, USD 62. This is pricey and I initially got it in my Sephora Play! box, but I had to go out and get it because I loved it. I have dark under eye circles and will probably always have them but I notice that after using this they are a little lighter and my eye area is plumper. It’s anti-aging which is a plus, and it wears great under makeup.

To wash my face both morning and night I’ve been obsessed with the Pur-lisse Blue Lotus 4-in-1 Cleansing Milk, USD 36 (or you can subscribe and save like 10%). This stuff is super gentle, but cleans really well. It gets rid of all the makeup I wore and leaves my face feeling clean.

After cleansing I usually use my Thayer’s Witch Hazel toner. I wrote about this magical stuff in an earlier post and totally recommend it. Link to buy it and details are located here, USD 7.

On the weekends, or days off when I’m staying home, I love using the Sunday Riley Good Genes Lactic Acid. It helps get rid of acne scars by gently exfoliating the skin. I used to use it at night with the Luna Oil for optimal results. Now I use the Luna oil on nights I take a break from the acne medication. This is basically retinol which is a great anti aging product. The products are pricey but each link will take you to a set that contains both products (which will save you some $$).

Speaking of Sunday Riley products, another product that I have really liked is the U.F.O (Ultra clarifying Face Oil– I got the USD 40 bottle since I have two sample bottles). I use this under makeup when I feel a zit coming on or during the day without makeup. This is basically salicylic acid; which is great to treat acne; along with milk thistle and chamomile oils. It dries quickly (as it’s a dry oil) and works well clearing pores.

To keep my skin hydrated I like to use a couple of moisturizers. My favorite is the belif true cream moisturizing bomb, USD 22 for the mini. A little goes a long way with this. It’s hydrating and refreshing and light weight. On the fancier side, I also love the Tatcha Silk Cream; USD 120. This is also hydrating and light weight. It feels super luxurious and has virtually no scent. I usually get this when it comes in sets to save money and try other products from their line. Lastly, for my face and neck, I also really like the Egg Mellow Cream USD 38, from Too Cool for School. It has a bit of a strong scent but it does leave my skin looking more radiant and glowing. For the body, I’ve been obsessed with the Brazilian Bum Bum Cream by Sol de Janeiro USD 20 for the small one; it smells divine! It adds glow to the skin and it has guarana which comes from the amazon and helps tighten the skin!

Lastly, my go to mask is the Aztec Secret mask with apple cider vinegar. This stuff is a miracle in a jar and I definitely recommend it. Read more about it here!

I know that was a lot but I take my skin care so seriously! I love to pamper my skin and do anything I can to keep it clear, clean and young.

That’s all for today dolls, until next post!
