My Favorite Foundations

Hi beauties! Today I am here to blog about my current go to foundations, both drug store and high end. I use foundation pretty much every day (with the exception of Sundays– that’s my no make up day). Finding the right foundation can be difficult, especially at the drugstore where you can’t try them out. There are also so many that cater to different skin types that it can be overwhelming. I have found 4 foundations that I absolutely love, and work well with my dry, acne prone skin. Keep on reading to find out the details on my faves ♥

First on my list is the L’Oreal True Match Lumi foundation. This is my day to day foundation especially during the winter months when my skin gets so super dry. I apply it with a damp sponge and it goes on flawlessly, with a dewy finish. It has light coverage but it is very buildable. My every day look is more on the “natural” side and this foundation is perfect for that. The best part is, that you can find it at your local drugstore or Target.

Next, is the Hourglass Vanish™ Seamless Finish Foundation Stick. This foundation is amazing. It feels so lightweight on the skin and it is full coverage. I was floored when I first tried it. Since I have never used a stick foundation before, and since they have a wide range of colors, I had someone at Sephora match me to the right color. It is a little pricey, but it is so worth the money. I blend it with a foundation brush, and it blends so easily. It leaves a beautiful satin finish on the skin. I sincerely can not think of anything negative to say about this foundation, it’s just a great product overall.

This one is another foundation I like to apply with a damp sponge. This same line, has a matte and poreless version, which is widely popular, especially with people who have oily skin. The only thing that I don’t like about this foundation is that it does not have a pump which makes it a little more difficult to apply. You can find this at your drugstore, or Target for an affordable price and a little goes a long way.

The last foundation I am obsessed with is the Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover foundation. This foundation feels very lightweight on the skin, and has medium (but buildable) coverage. I typically apply this foundation with wet a sponge, although it’s so lightweight that sometimes I use a foundation brush to blend it on my face. This foundation has a very natural finish on the skin. Another great thing is that it comes in a wide range of colors as well. At my local Sephora, they have them sorted by the different skin undertones which is super helpful when looking for a new foundation. I love this foundation especially when I am going full glam with contouring and all because it is super buildable and blends well with other products.

Please note, beauties, that these foundations work very well with my dry, acne prone skin. They also work well with the different moisturizers and primers that I use underneath them. I highly recommend them for anyone who tends to have normal to dry skin or for beauties who love a glowey look.

Thank you for reading, until next post! ♦
